Snow Cancellations

Inclement Weather Policy

Musical Munchkins, like any other educational organization, will sometimes have to cancel class due to inclement weather. You can get up-to-date information on cancelled classes easily from us:

1. The easiest way to get information is to call our registration office at 914-771-7000. We will change the message on our answering machine by 8:00 to announce our decision. Please be patient, and you will get through (our phones are busy on snowy mornings!) If you are unsuccessful getting through to the main office, you may call our alternate office number at 914-686-1344. If you need to call our emergency phone number, please call 914-582-2565, but since it is a cell phone number, please use this only in an urgent situation.

2-You may also check our website at www.musicalmunchkins.com Just click on the snowflake for our open/closed status. (Do not confuse our website with musicalmunchkins.net, this is an upstate business and you will not get information for Westchester on that site). 3-If your public schools are closed, your Musical Munchkins class will be canceled as well, unless you hear from us otherwise. If your public schools are on a delayed schedule, you should call our office to get the open/closed status of your class.

Please keep in mind that whatever the weather may be in your neighborhood, many factors are involved in deciding whether or not to run classes for the day. For example, some of our teachers travel long distances to teach at your location, so the decision is not always as clear as it may seem. Remember, except in the rarest of circumstances, you will not be called. It is up to you to call us when the weather is in doubt. If all else fails, and you aren’t sure what to do, stay home, have a cup of hot cocoa with your child, and call us in the morning!!
